The TDR Nova by Tokyo Dawn Labs is a highly versatile, parallel dynamic equalizer available as a free VST/AU/AAX plugin. It combines the intuitive, WYSIWYG interface of a standard parametric EQ with the surgical control of a multi-band compressor. Each of its bands can function as a traditional EQ, but also includes full dynamics processing (threshold, ratio, attack, and release) to react to specific frequencies only when needed. This makes it an incredibly powerful tool for taming harsh sibilance, cleaning up muddy resonances, or gluing together a mix.
